Malabon administrator receives 2024 Outstanding Alumnus in Government Sector award from DLSAU


Malabon City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete has received the “2024 Outstanding Alumnus in Government Sector” award from the De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU) for his excellent public service.

The awarding ceremony was held at the DLSAU, Institutional Activity Center, on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The Public Information Office (PIO) said the De La Salle Araneta Alumni Association Inc. (DLSAUAAI) Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes the government, public and academe sectors for their public service and contribution in their cities.

The city administrator expressed his gratitude to the school administration, professors, and alumni for the recognition he received.

“I am intensely grateful for this recognition, our alma mater has continuously produced leaders, innovators and change makers like the outstanding alumni we are honoring today,” he said.

Rosete also reflected on his past experiences that led him to his current situation.

“I’m delighted to take and embrace difficulties with just the right kind of drive to be worthy of the fruits of my labor,” Rosete said.

He also thanked Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval for trusting him.

“Many thanks to Mayor Sandoval for the continued confidence and trust,” he said.

Rosete also vowed to serve the City of Malabon according to the DLSAU standards.

“The City of Malabon where I gladly serve and demonstrate the impact our school (DLSAU) have on the local communities. As city administrator, I vow to represent the Malabon City, in accordance with the moral standards of our university Excellence, Integrity, and dedication to service,” he stated.

“Let us honor our alumni’s heritage by continuing to strive for excellence in our different endeavors while serving our communities in a true Lasallian way,” he added.

In her speech, Sandoval believed in the transformative power of the De La Salle education.

“It is a privilege to be part of a network that continuously strives for excellence and holds fast to the principles of integrity, community of service,” she said.

“Let us nurture excellence for many years to come, Animo La Salle!” She added.
