"Wala pa ring sign. Wala pa eh. I'm giving myself until March. I have to decide by then," Binay said during the turnover ceremony of five electric vehicles to the city government courtesy of Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH).

"Kaya sinasabi ko palagi, siguro maswerte ako kasi marami akong options eh. Pwede akong national, I can go for Congress, run for Senate, I can run for mayor. I can decide not to run. I can become a full-time wife. I can study. Maswerte ako na may ganoong options, kaya medyo mahirap mamili kung ano yung maaaring tatahakin nating landas (That's why I always say that I am be lucky to have a lot of options. I can run for a national post. I'm very lucky to have those options that's why I'm having a difficult time choosing what path I should take)," she added.

Binay had earlier said that her running for Taguig mayor is an option during her State of the City Address (SOCA) delivered in front of the Rotary Club of Makati on Jan. 9.

"Despite the fact that it is my last term, I have come to realize that I have so many options for 2025. It (running for Taguig mayor) is an option, but it is at the bottom of the list," the local chief said.

She clarified that she is still waiting for "some divine intervention" before making a final decision.

"My focus really is to ensure that the residents in my EMBOs are taken care of. That's my only concern. Whether I will run or not run or end up endorsing someone ensures that my former residents will be taken care of," Binay explained.

The mayor said there are several factors that she is considering before she makes the decision to run for Taguig mayor, particularly establishing her residency in Taguig.

"I cannot be a sitting mayor [of Makati] if I am no longer a resident. So, I will have to resign and move my residency and my voter's registration to Taguig. That's something we have to wait for, and [it] will be the sure sign of my decision in 2025," the three-term Makati mayor said.
