Fire hits Bacoor grocery, P320K meat freezers charred


CAVITE – A fire hit a grocery store in Barangay Molino III in Bacoor City early morning on Thursday, Jan. 18.

The blaze at Puregold at Lokal Molino was reported at 2:24 a.m., FO1 Napol Salud of Bacoor City Fire Station told the Manila Bulletin.

The flames engulfed three freezers of frozen processed meat with a total estimated value of P320,000.

On-duty guards and personnel were able to extinguish the fire and keep it from spreading. Authorities declared fire out when they arrived at the site at 2:30 a.m.

Salud stated that faulty electrical wiring is being considered as the potential cause of the fire, although the investigation is still ongoing.

No casualties were reported and the fire did not cause any structural damage to the mall building.
