Through Taguig’s Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), all centenarians in the city, including residents in the 10 new EMBO barangays, will get P100,000 when they reach 100. They will receive P100,000 every year on their birthday while they are still alive.

On the other hand, senior citizens in Taguig get P3,000 to P10,000 birthday cash gift depending on their age bracket based on Taguig Ordinance No. 25 passed in 2017.

This is in addition to other services for senior citizens including free medicine for illnesses such as diabetes, high blood and asthma; free nursing services in their homes; and free wheelchairs, canes and hearing aids.

The Taguig City government is ramping up health services in EMBO barangays following the closure of health centers.
