Businessman killed in broad daylight

SAN JUAN, La Union â€“ A businessman was gunned down in front of a school in Barangay Urbiztondo, this town, on Monday, January 15.

Police identified the victim as Ronnie Rivera of Barangay Butubot, Balaoan, La Union.

Rivera was standing in the parking area of the Lorma High School Campus at about 10:25 a.m. when two men onboard a motorcycle arrived.

One of them drew a gun and shot the victim.

The gunman and his cohort fled and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he died due to bullet wounds.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
