Oscar awardee Ariana DeBose criticized a joke about "actors who think they can sing" at the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night.

After the awards ceremony, Ariana addressed her Instagram followers about the unpleasant joke made during the show. "I didn't find it funny," she wrote.

The "Wish" actress appeared insulted when Bella Ramsey poked fun at her while presenting the Best Song category.

The nominees for Best Song were: Dua Lipa, Ryan Gosling, Billie Eillish, Lenny Kravitz and Jack Black.

Bella mentioned "some of the most famous voices in the music industry" nominated in the category such as Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz, and Dua Lipa. Then she joked: "Then there are the actors who think they're singers: Jack Black, Ariana DeBose, and Ken himself, Ryan Gosling."

The award went to "I'm Just Ken" by Gosling from the movie "Barbie."

Fans defended Ariana, who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in the musical "West Side Story" at the 2021 Oscar Awards. Some comments:

"It was t an insult. It's like an actor who thinks he's a politician. I'm a waitress who thought I could do door-to-door or manual labor. Doesn't mean I did poorly at any of it. Just means I expanded my portfolio and experiences. Some ppl are way too sensitive."

"Not everyone can sing at that level she was in Hamilton."

"The writers for @CriticsChoice missed the mark with their comment about 'actors who think they're singers' and including Ariana DeBose as part of that list. The woman starred in Broadway musicals - she's a trained singer."

"I won't blame young Bella, the presenter...but how DARE a writer for the intro label Ariana, a Broadway triple threat, with the smarmy category of 'actors who think they can sing. Get a clue. Fact check. Apologize. Change your job."
