PANGLAO, Bohol — Alona Beach hotel guests were divided because two groups of celebrity performers had two different countdown concerts with venues around one kilometer apart.

Both venues had sold-out concerts. Alona Beach is just one long strip, just like Boracay, and is divided by two big hotels - Henann Resort Bohol and Villa Tomasa at Alona Kew. 

On Dec. 31, two countdown concerts rocked Panglao Island, but both were sold out. Henann Resorts Bohol was at full capacity, and tickets were sold out several days before my countdown dinner concert, booking 1400 dining guests. 

We apologize for the walk-in guests the hotel had to turn down on the day since there were no more seats. Still, others paid and were willing to stand up and watch my concert without the sumptuous buffet dinner Henann Resorts prepared for its guests. 

Before midnight, Henann Group of Resorts President Alfons Chusuey thanked his hotel and dining guests, “Philippine tourism is back. And it’s because of all of you, our guests, who helped us bring back tourism. And I’m sure 2024 will even be better. To everyone that has come from all over the world, from other countries and also the local Filipinos that are here with us, thank you for helping make this event a success. I want to thank Miss Giselle here. I told her this is her residency every new year, a residency for life. I would also like to thank the whole Henann staff who made this event possible.”  

Kudos to the Henann staff who painstakingly carried the tables from the restaurant to the beach and the engineering staff who built my stage on the beach just for 1400 guests to have a beachfront dining and concert experience.

This is my fourth year doing a countdown dinner show for Henann Resorts Bohol, and the number of guests doubles yearly. 

On the other side of the strip, Andrew E and Kiray Celis did a countdown concert to 2024 for Villa Tomasa at the Alona Kew. And just as expected, it was a full house as well. All the Boholanos seemed excited to watch and party with celebrities for New Year's Day. 

Of course, Andrew E delivered his performance with full gusto and energy together with actress Kiray Celis. Both hotel owners were very happy with the countdown concerts they organized.
