CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Department of Health recorded a total of 14 fireworks-related injuries in Region 4-A from December 21 to January 1.
The DOH-Center for Health Development-Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon area) logged seven new cases on New Year’s Eve.
But it said that the 14 injuries are nine cases or 17 percent lower compared to the same period from 2018 to 2022.
Data came from DOH sentinel hospitals throughout the region as of 6 a.m. on January 1.
