vivo has recently launched the V40 in the country, a smartphone that has made a big impression thanks to its camera features and ZEISS partnership. And fresh off from the V40’s heels, is the vivo V40 Lite, an option that gives a taste of what the V40 series is capable of.

The vivo V40 Lite specs and features will be announced on October 19, during a livestream event. Official prices will be announced on that same event. Give or take, if I had to speculate on the price, it would be under 16K. But not less than 14K.

The vivo V40 Lite will be available in 4G and 5G. Of course, we recommend going for the 5G option, as it’s the newest standard and faster. The 4G version will probably cost a little bit less, so there’s that option out there if you want to save a bit. 4G is still pretty fast, after all.

What vivo is touting for the V40 Lite is the 80W FlashCharge. If that sounds fast, that’s because it is. If the V40 Lite has about 5000mAh, then that charge will get you from zero to 80% in 30 minutes. Meaning, if you have to leave, and your phone is under 50%, you can probably spare about 10 minutes to get far more power for the rest of the day.

vivo says they have integrated “Optimized Battery Charging,” which means the device will adapt to your usage patterns in real-time for optimized charging.

Besides this, vivo has included Smart Charging Engine 2.0. It’s for protecting battery health for people who tend to leave their phones charging overnight. According to vivo, this feature adjusts to your sleep schedule, charging your device up to 80% through the night, and when you’re nearing your time in waking up, your phone will fully charge.

We’ll learn more about the vivo V40 Lite during the livestream event on October 19, 2024. Here’s the link for you to tune in. on vivo’s official Facebook page.
