Mario Lomboy, the father of the 22-year-old victim, John Marc, took to social media to seek justice for the accident that took his youngest son's life.

According to reports, the victim died and his friend was hurt after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a concrete barrier on Macapagal Bridge in Marikina City last September 11.

Lomboy unintentionally saw the accident while traveling from Antipolo City to Quezon City.

Upon checking the accident, Lomboy noticed a familiar sticker on the motorcycle that had crashed and realized that the victim was his son.

Lomboy cried out loud in front of his son's body while calling for help, but what angered him the most was that the first ambulance that responded had no stretcher, causing a delay in getting his son to the hospital.

He added that his son still had a pulse when he checked him, so he asked the authorities on the scene why they were not taking him to the hospital.

He was told, however, that his son was already dead, which made him even angrier as he questioned how they could declare his son dead when they were not doctors.

What hurt Lomboy even more was seeing a funeral vehicle allegedly waiting at the accident scene, even though there had been no official declaration of his son's death.

In his Facebook post, Lomboy humbly asked for any footage that captured the accident.

He said that according to John Marc's friend, who was with him during the accident, they were hit by a truck, which caused the victim to lose control of his motorcycle.

“Ang sabi sa akin ng kasama niyang babae ay sinagi daw sila ng isang truck kaya nawala sa control sa manebila ang aking anak sa kanyang motor. Napakaganda ng daan, hindi siya maaksidente kung walang sumagi sa kanya (A woman with him said they were hit by a truck, which caused my son to lose control of his motorcycle. The road was in good condition, so he wouldn’t have had an accident if he hadn’t been hit),” he said.

“Sa sumagi sa anak ko, makunsinsya ka naman sa ginawa mo sa aking anak. Sinira mo ang kanyang kinabukasan. Napakataas ng kanyang pangarap, pero sa isang iglap, sinira mo at binawian mo pa siya ng buhay… (To the person who hit my son, please have a conscience about what you did. You ruined his future—he had great dreams—but in an instant, you destroyed that and took his life),” he added.

“Sa mga nakasabay ng pinsan ko that time, Sep. 11, 2024, 7:51 am onwards, baka may nakuhaan kayo sa dashcam ninyo. Nawa’y tulungan ninyo po ang pamilya Lomboy na mahanap ang nakapitik o ano mang pangyayari at makuha ang hustisya. Maraming-maraming salamat po (To those who were on the road on the same day and time of my cousin’s accident on September 11, 2024, from 7:51 AM onwards, if you have any dashcam footage, please help the Lomboy family find out what happened and seek justice. Thank you very much),” the victim's cousin added.

Meanwhile, the funeral vehicle that Lomboy mentioned was said to have just happened to pass by at the time of the accident, the Marikina Police Traffic Unit said.

The authorities are now investigating the accident.
