The Bombers unloaded their offensive weapons in the last two quarters where they outscored the Stags, 50-34, on their way to ending a three-game slump.

Marvin Raymundo steered JRU with an all-around game of 21 points on a perfect 7-of-7 clip from the charity stripe, while hauling 13 rebounds, dishing off two assists and swatting away three blocked shots.

Mart Barrera also carried the fight for the Bombers with 18 points highlighted by a 7-of-10 shooting from the field, even as Jonathan Medina chipped in 11 points and five boards.

“Malaking bagay tong panalong to. Big relief on the side of the team,” said JRU coach Louie Gonzales.

“I just want them to show up sa game. Ipakita nila kung ano yung pinakita nila nung preseason. It’s good na yung hinihintay ko, dumating na,” he added.

Tied at 46-all midway the third period, the troika of Barrera, Raymundo and Medina conspired for five straight points for the 51-46 upperhand, enough to set the tone for JRU.

The Bombers slowly pulled away for a double-digit lead, 76-66, in the last 6:07 of the game and never looked back.

Paeng Are scored 17 points, while Raymart Escobido and Ameer Aguilar added 11 points apiece in a losing cause for San Sebastian, which dropped to 2-2 in the middle standings along with San Beda, University of Perpetual Help, and Emilio Aguinaldo College.
