PNP reviews social media posts, collates evidence vs Quiboloy 'coddlers'

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has started reviewing social media posts, news and other relevant information amid its effort to build strong cases against those who coddled Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy when he was still hiding.

PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil said the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) was tasked to lead the specialized teams and the coordination with other units, particularly the police’s Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) for the case build-up.

"We have mobilized a dedicated investigation team to pursue those who sheltered Quiboloy and obstructed justice. The PNP is fully committed to bringing these individuals to account and ensuring they face the full force of the law," said Marbil.

He said the primary tasks involve collating and verifying social media posts, publications, and other relevant information about Quiboloy and validating and authenticating these materials through the ACG.

Marbil said the teams were also mandated to gather statements and affidavits from PNP personnel involved in executing the warrant against Quiboloy and in securing testimonies from victims and complainants and collecting documentary evidence from other agencies that may strengthen the case.

“The team will coordinate closely with the Police Regional Office 11 and conduct a continuous, thorough investigation to ensure a solid case. This will involve meticulous analysis of digital evidence, testimonials, and documents,” said Marbil.

“We will leave no stone unturned to bring justice to those who have enabled Quiboloy's evasion," he stressed.

Marbil assured that all the operations in running after Quiboloy coddlers will be executed efficiently and within the bounds of the law, adding that the main focus is to build a comprehensive case against them.

“All the efforts are focused on ensuring that justice is served,” said Marbil.
