Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano reminded residents to report any individuals selling unregistered monkeypox or mpox vaccines following reports of people selling them without the approval of the national government.

The mayor said the Department of Health (DOH) received reports that there are some groups and individuals selling the vaccine which was brought into the country without its and the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approval.

This means the uncleared vaccines are not assured of its safety and efficacy.

Rubiano said the city government will announce the start of the vaccination against the mpox disease once it's already available.

Residents may report persons selling unregistered vaccines to the City Health Office (CHO) through the Pasay City trunkline 888-PASAY (72729) local 1147.
