Muntinlupa LGU suspends face-to-face classes in public schools for Sept. 14


The Muntinlupa City government suspended face-to-face classes in all levels in public schools for Sept. 14 due to the forecast of heavy rains. 

“Attention! Following consultations with Muntinlupa DDRM [Department of Disaster Resilience and Management] and Deped Division Office,  Face-to-Face Classes in all levels in public schools and ALS [Alternative Learning System] in Muntinlupa City are suspended tomorrow, Saturday, September 14, 2024, due to heavy rain forecast by PAGASA [Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration] and Muntinlupa City DDRM,” Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced on Sept. 13.

He said, “Schools may shift to alternative delivery modes on their own initiative. For classes in private schools, it will be up to the discretion of their management whether to order suspension or proceed with classes.”

The mayor said makeup classes will be held.
