Olivia said she is proud of her Filipino line, and she hasn't forgotten her roots despite her smashing success in the music scene.

In an article written by Tomas Mier for the online edition of People Magazine recently, the singer was emotional as she represented the Filipino community in the US.

"It's so touching and makes me want to cry," said Olivia, when asked what it's like to represent the Filipino community abroad.

"Representation in the media is so important. I'm so glad that I can be an example for little Asian girls and show them that they can do anything they set their mind to," she added.

While she has written records on heartbreak, Olivia revealed: "I literally wrote breakup songs before I ever held a boy's hand. I just love writing music."
