The 5-foot-6 prized guard of the pacesetting San Juan Knights scored 16 points in the final round to eclipse teammate AC Soberano's 14 points and Sarangani's Ryan Sual's 12 for the coveted title.

Other participants in the side event of the MPBL All-Star Game Present By SiKAT were Pasay's Axel Inigo, Pampanga's Kurt Reyson, Caloocan's Jeramer Cabanag, Abra's Wendelino Comboy III, Quezon's Domark Matillano, Zamboanga's Jul-Ashri Ignacio, Quezon City's Jonathan Gesalem, Bataan's Yves Sazon and Valenzuela's Dennis Santos.

Wamar, who knocked in two more shots after a blackout engulfed the venue, won a 55-inch Extreme Smart TV plus cash.

Last year, Wamar chalked 20 points to beat Matillano for the title.
