Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy 15 days after police entered the 30-hectare property of the religious group in Davao City.

The arrest of Quiboloy was announced by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos in his Facebook page.

“Naaresto na si Pastor Quiboloy! (Pastor Quiboloy was already arrested),” Abalos’ post read, which include a photo of Quiboloy wearing a black baseball cap with the word “AGILA” printed on it.

Abalos and the Philippine National Police (PNP), however, are yet to provide details regarding the arrest.

More than 2,000 policemen raided the KOJC compound at dawn on Aug. 24 to serve the arrest warrant against Quiboloy for cases relating to human trafficking and child abuse.

It took more than two weeks before Quiboloy was arrested, with the police blaming the alleged harassments of KOJC members for delaying the operation.

It is not immediately clear, however, if Quiboloy was arrested inside a bunker which the police said was monitored inside the KOJC compound and where the religious leader was said to be hiding all along.
