2 nabbed in Rizal buy-bust, P700,000 shabu recovered


The Rizal Police confiscated a total of P748,952 worth of shabu from two high-value individuals (HVIs) during a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal, early Thursday, September 5.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as “Ed,” 42, and “Jeng,” 31.

They were nabbed at around 1 a.m. during the operation conducted by the Binangonan Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (MDET) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

According to authorities, the two were caught after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer posing as a buyer.

Confiscated during the joint operation were 110.14 grams of suspected shabu and other non-drug evidence.

The confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for proper documentation and disposition.

Meanwhile, the suspects are currently detained at the Binangonan Custodial Facility and are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
