1,042 families displaced by ‘Enteng’ in Cavite

CAVITE – A total of 1,042 families in the province have been displaced by the inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon intensified by tropical storm 'Enteng'.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) reported that as of 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 991 of the displaced families had been staying in evacuation centers.

A total of 51 displaced families, on the other hand, are staying outside evacuation centers.

The PDRRMO has recorded 29 flooding events and a fire occurrence since the onset of the bad weather. No fatalities have been reported.

 

 

Gov. Jonvic Remulla, meanwhile, announced that classes in the province will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 4, following cancellations on Sept. 2 and 3 due to the intermittent rain.
