Japanese boy band One or Eight debuts with ‘Don’t Tell Nobody’


Following the success of their viral performance video "Kawasaki,” rising Japanese boy group One or Eight made their official debut with the release of a new single, "Don’t Tell Nobody." 

Produced by Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Tate Mcrae, Adele, Jonas Brothers), David Stewart (BTS), and featuring rap lyrics by Lucien Parker (Kanye West x Ty Dolla $ign “STARS”), “Don't Tell Nobody" is an dance-pop track that boasts catchy melodies, a mix of Japanese and English rap, and expert mixing by Grammy-winning engineer Josh Gudwin.

Accompanying the single release is a music video released on YouTube. As of this writing, the music video has garnered 1.7 million views.  

The members of One or Eight are Mizuki, Neo, Reia, Ryota, Souma, Takeru, Tsubasa, and Yuga—all from Japan. 

Before their debut, their performance video for "Kawasaki" went viral on YouTube, racking up three million views overnight and amassing over 10 million views to date.

The track was produced by DJ Smallz 732 (Nicki Minaj ft. Lil Uzi Vert “Everybody”), GENT! (Doja Cat “Agora Hills”), Bangs (Doja Cat “Agora Hills”), and Xansei (NLE Choppa “Picture Me Grapin”), with Lucien Parker (Kanye West x Ty Dolla $ign “STARS”) contributing the rap lyrics.
