Olympics Sports Hub and French street food fair opens

As the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games draws near, the French Embassy in partnership with SM Supermalls and Decathlon Philippines launched an Olympics Sports Hub at the SM Mall of Asia, to bring the fun and excitement of Paris Olympics 2024 closer to Filipinos. The Ambassador of the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia Marie Fontanel led the ribbon cutting ceremony with SM Supermalls Executive Vice President for Marketing Joaquin San Agustin, Decathlon Philippines Chief Executive Officer Hathaipat Theintangpiriya, Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachmann, and Philippine Paralympic Committee Secretary General Goody Custodio. The event is in celebration of the start of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on July 26, 2024.

Ambassador Marie Fontanel played the different sports activities during the launch and enticed participants and guests to take part in the exciting multi-sport activities, and food fair with French specialties.

“Following the remarkable success of the Torch Relay in April and the Goût de France gastronomic festival in June, this weekend is an opportunity to combine sport and gastronomy, two important facets of French culture that we are proud to share with you,” said Ambassador Fontanel.
