Police Col. Kim Legada is the new chief of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) while his predecessor, Col. Joeresty Coronica, is the new chief of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).

Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office-6, presided over the turnover of command ceremony at the PRO-6 headquarters in Camp Delgado here.

Legada was the chief of the PRO-6 Regional Plans and Strategy Division before his latest designation.

He is not new to the ICPO.  He was chief of Police Station 1 in City Proper District and Police Station 5 in Mandurriao District. Legada was also a chief of the ICPO Mobile Group.

Coronica served ICPO for almost a year-and-a-half beginning January 27, 2023.

A native of Negros Occidental, Coronica replaced Police Col. Noel Aliño as BCPO chief after he was selected by Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez.

Aliño is the new commander of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Metro Manila. Aliño was a director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
