Members of the Southern Police District (SPD) Special Operations Unit and the Department of Trade and Industry-Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (DTI-FTEB) conducted simultaneous operations against two establishments selling illegal vape products on Tuesday night, July 16.

The SPD said the team raided the two establishments at around 8:00 p.m. located along J. Silva corner Aurora Streets and in Barangay 102, Pasay City.

The police said the joint operation was the result of an extensive case build-up and surveillance conducted by members of the DSOU-SPD and the DTI-FTEB.

The police said the two establishments were found violating Republic Act 11900, Section 9, which pertains to the sale of vape products, and Department Administrative Order No. 22-16, Series of 2022, Rule 6, Section 1(j), which impose administrative sanctions.

The DTI-FTEB operatives confiscated about 9,359 pieces of different flavors of Flava vape products worth P5,147,450.

The confiscated products are now in the custody of DTI-FTEB.
