Bacoor hotel murder: Woman found dead, suspect flees

CAVITE – A woman was found dead in a hotel in Bacoor City on Wednesday, July 3.

Initial investigation by the Bacoor Component City Police Station (CCPS) said the victim checked in at the hotel with the suspect, identified as alias Rommel, at 1:57 a.m. for a 12-hour stay.

At 6:30 a.m., the suspect came out of the room and told the receptionist that he would head out to buy food. When the receptionist asked him further questions, however, alias Rommel reportedly became hysterical and fled the scene.

The hotel staff checked the room left by the suspect and discovered the victim's bloodied body in bed. A knife was also found in the crime scene.

Alias Rommel left his backpack at the receptionist’s counter, allowing the authorities to confirm the identity he used during check-in.

A progress report by the Bacoor CCPS Chief Lt. Col. John Paulo Carracedo forwarded to the Manila Bulletin stated that they had already identified the victim.

Authorities are actively pursuing the suspect.
