The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) has forged an alliance with other government agencies and the private sector in the fight against drug addiction and proliferation of illegal substances in the country.

Government agencies involved include the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Lanmd Transportation Office while those in the private sector are the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and Transport Network Vehicle Service providers.

In a statement, the DDB stated that the manifesto stands as “a testament to our unwavering dedication as public servants’’ to actively advocate for the prevention of drug proliferation.

DDB Chairman Catalino Cuy stressed the importance of augmenting preventive education efforts in ensuring equal access to the latest trends in prevention science and adopting available evidence-based interventions in treatment.

The DDB also cited the inauguration of the ‘Kanlungan sa Piitan’ Reformatory Center at the San Pablo City District Jail of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-CALABARZON.
