Sheila Enciso, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Western Visayas director, said these agrarian reform beneficiaries have received a total of 428,418 hectares.

Speaking at the recent Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas organized by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Enciso said DAR-6 is targeting to distribute the remaining 38,997 out of the total 467,415 hectares.

But Enciso said this is not an easy task as there are landowners who are contesting the distribution.

At least 16,764 hectares have been distributed to 17,999 ARBs under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Eleven-thousand, thirty-seven hectares were distributed in Negros Occidental benefiting 13,292 ARBs; 2,146 ARBs in Iloilo province, 929 ARBs in Capiz province, 644 ARBs in Aklan province, 557 ARBs in Guimaras province, and 431 ARBs in Antique province.
