Bamban Mayor Alice Guo’s fingerprints matched with a Chinese woman named Guo Hua Ping.
Deputy Minority Leader Sen. Risa Hontiveros confirmed this on Thursday, June 27, saying the information came from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
“Mayor Alice, walang sikretong hindi nabubunyag (No secrets will remain hidden),” Hontiveros said in a statement.
“Indeed, the NBI has confirmed that the fingerprints of Mayor Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping match. Ibig sabihin (which means), they are the fingerprints of one & the same person,” the senator said.
“This confirms what I have suspected all along. Pekeng Pilipino si ‘Mayor Alice’ — or should I say, Guo Hua Ping. She is a Chinese national masquerading as Filipino citizen to facilitate crimes being committed by POGO,” added the lawmaker.
Hontiveros said this latest information is clearly an insult to the voters of Bamban, government institutions and to each Filipino.
“Ito na ang pinakamabigat na ebidensya para palayasin na sa pwesto si ‘Mayor Alice’, (This is the evidence needed to oust Mayor Alice from her position),” she stressed.
The lawmaker further thanked new NBI director Jaime Santiago for expediting the release of results.
“I call on the Office of the Solicitor General to expedite its filing of a quo warranto case against her. Dapat mapanagot siya sa lahat ng krimen na ginawa niya at ng kanyang POGO hub (She should be held liable for the crimes she did and by her POGO hub),” she pointed out.
“This revelation is not the end. Guo Hua Ping, soon, we will know the full extent of your deception. We will dig deeper and locate the systemic roots of our POGO problem,” she said adding that the Senate will continue to investigate her links in the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) industry.
It was Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian who first raised the probability of Alice Guo and Guo Huaping to be one person, saying that Guo Huaping entered the Philippines when she was 13 years old.
Gatchalian said the matching fingerprints, the documents on the Special Investor Residence Visa (SIRV) granted to Lin Wen Yi, as her mother, and records from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) showing their travels together provide irrefutable evidence of her deception and duplicity for vile and nefarious purposes.
“Guo Hua Ping's mockery of Philippine laws should not be taken lightly, and she should be brought to the bar of justice as soon as possible,” Gatchalian said.
“I want to thank the NBI, BOI (Board of Investments), PAOCC (Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission) and other government agencies for providing us with much information and for supporting our pursuit of justice and truth,” he further said.
“Ang mga katulad niya na nag-aakalang mabibili ang pagiging Pilipino ay dapat maparusahan nang husto. Hindi tayo titigil hanggang sa wala nang iba pang mga ‘Alice Guo’ ang makalulusot at makatatakas sa ating batas (People like her who think that being Filipino can be bought should be severely punished. We will not stop until no more ‘Alice Guo’ can slip through and escape our law),” he reiterated.
