According to the 19-year-old Cebuana hitmaker, “Sandali” explores the theme of asking someone to stay while keeping the relationship “lowkey” and out of the public eye.

mrld, who is part of the O/C Records roster alongside other OPM hitmakers Adie, Kean Cipriano, and Unique Salonga, also shared that the track was highly inspired by “All Night,” a song by one of her favorite K-pop groups, BTS.

mrld remains one of the most-streamed female OPM artists, with 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Her single “An Art Gallery Could Never Be As Unique As You” has already garnered over 150.8 million streams, while “Ligaya” has almost 112 million. Earlier this year, she  was honored as Spotify RADAR Artist of the Year 2023.
