Makati police arrest city's most wanted for rape

The Makati City Police's No. 1 most wanted individual for rape has been arrested on June 14, the city police announced Tuesday, June 18.

The suspect was identified as "Danny," 39, and a resident of Barangay Rizal, Taguig City. He is listed as Rank No.1 of the Top Ten Most Wanted Person (TTMWP) Station Level for June (2nd Quarter) CY 2024.

According to the police, Danny was arrested at the Makati City Hall in Barangay Poblacion by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of rape under Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, issued by Hon. Encarnacion Jaja Moya, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 146, in Makati City docketed under Criminal Case No. 14-1256 – 14-1257, issued on September 5, 2014, with no bail recommended.

The suspect is now detained at the Makati City Police Station.

Makati City Police Chief Col. Edward Cutiyog lauded the police's efforts in the arrest.

"The Makati Police will continue intensifying its law enforcement operations and put most wanted persons and other wanted lawless elements behind bars. This accomplishment will serve as a warning that we are working hand-in-hand with the community to capture individuals sought by the law," Cutiyog said.
