2 wanted persons arrested for carnapping, estafa in Pasay


Members of the Pasay City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section arrested two wanted persons in separate operations for Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 and three counts of estafa on Friday, June 14.

Pasay City Police Chief Col. Samuel Pabonita identified the suspects as alias Drei, 22, resident of Nenas Compound, Barangay Malagasang I-B, Imus City and alias Joel, resident of Villa Nova Subdivision, Novaliches, Quezon City.

Pabonita said the arrest of the suspects resulted from the thorough investigation and intelligence gathering efforts.

He said Drei was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for anti-carnapping act of 2016 issued by Judge Ronald August L. Tan of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 112 on June 10, 2024 with no bail recommended.

The city police chief said the other suspect, Joel, facing three counts of estafa was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Kirk M. Aniñon of Pasay City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 44 with bail recommended of P18,000.

Pabonita said the suspects were detained at the police custodial facility after their arrest.
