Church-run Radio Veritas is inviting the faithful to tune in to the special programs to be aired by the station this Holy Week.
With the theme “Simbahang Sinodal: Dumalangin at Manalangin sa Taon ng Panalangin” (Synodal Church: Praying in the Year of Prayer), the special programs will be aired from March 26, Holy Tuesday to March 30, Black Saturday.
On Maundy Thursday, March 28, Kalookan Bishop and CBCP president Pablo Virgilio David will share his reflections on the topic “Journey from Life to Death and Eternal Life“ from 11a.m. To 12 noon while Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro Prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization will talk about the topic “Freedom to Hope” from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Radio Veritas will also air live the Chrism Mass to be officiated by Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula at the Manila Cathedral at 7 a.m. His Eminence will also preside over the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 4 p.m. on Maundy Thursday.
Another Maundy Thursday observance, the Visita Iglesia on the Air will be featured at 7 p.m. that will include pilgrim churches such as the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno, Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Rosary of Manaoag, Parish and National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes.
On Good Friday, March 29, the Seven Last Words will be aired at 12 noon from the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of La Naval de Manila (Sto. Domingo Church) in Quezon City while the Exaltation of the Cross will be held at 3 p.m. from the Quiapo Church in Manila.
Malolos Bishop Dennis Villarojo will share his reflections from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On March 30, Black Saturday, Cardinal Advincula will lead the Easter Vigil mass at 8 p.m. at the Manila Cathedral.
