Muntinlupa’s 10 outstanding students of 2024 honored


The Muntinlupa City government honored the winners in the  Ten Muntinlupa Outstanding Students (10MOST) 2024 search. 

In a ceremony held on May 24 at the Muntinlupa Sports Center, the city government announced the final ranking of the 10 outstanding students who were selected based on portfolio evaluation, talent and skills presentation, panel interview and IQ examination.

“Believe in your dreams, pursue them relentlessly, and know that you have the power to transform the world. Your dedication and hard work have brought you this far, and they will continue to be your most valuable assets,” said Mayor Ruffy Biazon. 

He added, “Embrace the challenges and opportunities that come your way, for they will shape your journey and define your success with passion, perseverance, and steadfast belief in your potential. You can make a profound impact and inspire others to follow in your footsteps."

Ranking first in the search is John Reyn Villaester, a robotics enthusiast from Muntinlupa National High School (MNHS). 

“Thank you Lord, dahil binigay mo ang matagal ko nang dasal (Thank you Lord for giving me what I have prayed for a long time),” said Villaester who expressed profound gratitude to all the people and mentors who guided him throughout his 10MOST journey. 

Each of the 10 awardees received a P20,000 cash incentive, a medal of excellence, a plaque of recognition, and a college scholarship worth P30,000 per semester.

The final ranking of the 10MOST 2024 is as follows:

3. Joedi Costes - De La Salle Santiago Zobel School

4.  Gielian Lorice Suyat - South Mansfield College

5. Samantha Bianca Salazar  - PAREF Woodrose School

6. Nathan Lopena - Miraculous Medal School

7. Jasmine Caye Raymundo  - Muntinlupa Science High School

8. Henrique Arevalo - San Beda College Alabang

9.Krystal Ursal -  Muntinlupa Business High School-Sucat Annex

10.  Yuan Mark Lawrence Bamba - Tunasan National High School

Muntinlupa Rep. Jimmy Fresnedi challenged the awardees, saying, “Inaasahan kong gagamitin ninyo ang inyong lakas, talino, at buhay (I expect that you use your strength, intelligence and life).. Establish a meaningful relationship, practice gratitude, and be teachable.”

Guest speaker and former 10MOST 1997 winner Jermian Verdera said, “Be grateful and pay it forward,” 

10MOST is an annual search of the Muntinlupa City government under the Muntinlupa Scholarship Division to recognize the brightest junior high school students in the city who show academic excellence, transformational leadership skills, and inspiring community involvement.

As part of Karunungan under the 7K Agenda of Biazon, the city government is investing in the future of young Muntinlupeños by providing quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for a productive and progressive city.
