Drug pusher wounded in buy-bust


BACOLOD CITY – A suspected drug pusher was wounded in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Nanca, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental on Monday, May 20.

Police said three suspected drug pushers were transacting with a police poseur-buyer during the operation when one of them sensed that they were dealing with an undercover operative.

One of them drew a firearm, prompting a police operative to shoot him in his right leg to neutralize him.

Two suspects, residents of Victorias City, were arrested, while their companion managed to escape.

Seized from the suspects were 14 grams of suspected shabu worth P95,200, the P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, and a .38 caliber revolver with three bullets.

Police Capt. Judesses Catalogo, spokesperson of Negros Occidental police, said that they will determine the jurisdiction and the status of the wounded police officer before proceeding with the investigation.
