With Ana's family residing in Cabuyao, she desired to create a haven where they could feel at ease, unwind, and savor nutritious meals – a space welcoming to individuals of all ages.

The property, passed down through generations, traces back to Ana's great-grandparents before being inherited by her grandparents and then her aunties.

Ana reflects, "I think it's just really sentimental that it was my great-grandparents' place. They really kept the place in the family and didn't sell it to anyone. So I think just like that and also us trying to preserve it as well, trying to make it even more beautiful than it already was. Sharing it with other people, the place where we kind of all grew up into."

Spanning 180 square meters, the two-story space maintains much of its original architecture, with only the roof undergoing modification. Notably, the window railings feature the initials "EV," paying homage to the original inhabitants of the house.

Guests have the option to dine indoors or enjoy their meals al fresco. Interestingly, the current parking lot for bikes previously served as a sari-sari store.

Cafe Malvar's menu highlights Thai cuisine, featuring Ana's personal favorite, the Drunken Pesto with Shrimp. These recipes have been passed down from her uncle and aunt, providing guests with an authentic taste of Thailand.

Additionally, the menu includes Filipino dishes as well for those craving local flavors. In addition to coffee drinks, the cafe offers non-coffee options such as Peach Tea, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.
