Pasay's Labor Day job fair offers 7,000 job vacancies

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government offered 7,000 local and overseas job vacancies in celebration of the 122nd Labor Day on May 1.

Rubiano said 70 local and overseas employers participated in the job fair held at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia.

Government agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) also joined the event to assist job seekers in getting the documents they need in applying for jobs.

The Technical Education and Skills Development  (TESDA) also offered free skills training at the job fair.

Rubiano said they also coordinated with the Department of Education (DepEd) in informing graduates of senior high schools about the job fair.

She said even senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) were also accommodated in the job fair.

The mayor appealed to all employers to accept job seekers, who lack qualifications, and train them while working for them.
