2 wanted persons in Western Visayas nabbed


ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 arrested two most wanted persons in Western Visayas.

Sonny, the seventh most wanted person, was nabbed in Patnongon town, Antique province by the Patnongon Municipal Police Station and the PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Unit.

The 56-year-old suspect was arrested thru a warrant for murder issued by Judge Mario Andres Jr. of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 64 in Bugasong, Antique. Sonny allegedly fatally stabbed his neighbor during a drinking spree in March 2017.

Jerico, 37, the eighth most wanted person, was nabbed in Legazpi City, Albay by the 1st Aklan Provincial Mobile Force Company, Madalag, Aklan Municipal Police Station, PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Unit, PRO-5 Regional Intelligence Unit, and the Legazpi City Police Station.

The warrant of arrest for Jerico, wanted for rape, was issued by Judge Bienvenido Barrios Jr. of the RTC-Branch 3 in Kalibo town, Aklan province.

The suspects’ arrest was cited by the PRO-6.

“The arrests of these two fugitives clearly show the commitment of the police to account for these wanted persons. Rest assured that those remaining law evaders in the region will be our next subjects for police operations,” said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 chief.
