Movie line producer Dennis Evangelista highlighted the bitter truth that the number of social media followers an actor has does not guarantee a movie's success in showbiz.

Dennis revealed this during the media conference for the upcoming movie Abe Nida, which BG Productions is producing, held in Quezon City on March 23. He discussed how they hire actors for a project.

"Ang gauge namin is more on kung sino ang bagay sa role. At sino ang madaling ka trabaho at walang attitude," he said.

So dapat ang pagbenta sa pelikula is the project itself.

As of March 24, 2024, Allen has won 13 international Best Actor trophies and the 51st acting award of his career.

Allen also stars in the upcoming film "Abe Nida" where he plays a mentally deranged man. The movie has already won three awards at the 10th Emirates Film Festival in Dubai.
