Las Pinas prepares activities for celebration of 27th cityhood anniversary

The Las Piñas City government has prepared a series of activities for the celebration of  the 27th cityhood anniversary and the 117th founding anniversary on March 27.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the activities were prepared to make the city residents feel that they are part of the celebration.

Aguilar said the celebration started on March 8 with a family planning caravan, green card application, free oral checkup, haircut, massage, and livelihood bazaar at Verdant covered court from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

She said the city government will conduct free human pappilomavirus (HPV) or anti-cervical cancer vaccination for females aged nine to 14 years old at Robinsons Las Piñas from March 13 to 15  at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The mayor said a medical mission will be held on March 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Verdant covered court to give free X-ray, blood typing, fasting blood sugar cholesterol test exams, oral check-up, green card application, PhilHealth Konsulta registration, and other services like haircut and massage.

Aguilar said that on March 22, a mass cervical and breast cancer screening will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Barangay Pilar Health Center and a free mass wedding at Verdant covered court at 9:00 a.m.

On March 25, a cultural dance presentation will be conducted at the City Hall grounds at 7:00 a.m. and a bazaar will open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while a job fair at 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. will be held at SM Center Las Piñas. 

The mayor said that on March 26, the city government will unveil the Las Piñas City Mayor’s Gallery at 3:00 p.m. to be followed by the launch of “Tahanan” that will feature the tourism sites in the city at 6:00 p.m., and the “Bayan ng Las Piñas” one act play to be performed by the Tinig ng Teatro from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..

Malacanang declared March 27 as a special non-working day in the city to give residents full opportunity to participate in the activities and enjoy the celebration.
