The Pasay City Health Office (CHO) and Dental Services launched a “healthy smile" contest for children aged three to six years old to remind the public of the importance of proper dental health care.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said 12 children coming from different health centers participated in the contest themed “a healthy smile is a beautiful smile”.
Rubiano said the contest was launched on Feb. 27 at the Cuneta Astrdome.
“Malapit po sa akin ang adikhain at adbokasiya ukol sa dental health. Ang aking panganay, si Dra. Nicole, ay isang Doctor of Dental Medicine, at talaga namang we are well aware of the health benefits of maintaining good oral health, as well as the detrimental effects that poor dental hygiene can cause hindi lang po sa ngipin, ngunit sa ibat ibang parte ng ating katawan," Rubiano said.
The mayor said winners in the contest were Summer Mae Ebbato from M. dela Cruz Health Center who got the first place; Allea Gale Facto of MIA Health Center, second place;and Izabelle Nicole Belino of San Roque Health Center, third place.
