US envoy thanks 50,000 socmed followers in various PH dialects


United States Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson has reached 50,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter).

Carlson thanked her followers through a video message posted on the social media platform by saying “thank you” in different Philippine dialects.
 

“Thank you for helping us reach 50,000 followers! Can't wait to see what more we can do together as #FriendsPartnersAllies and #PartnersInProsperity. Maraming salamat (Thank you very much),” she said.
 

Carlson, who has been in the Philippines as US envoy since 2022, wore a red “panuelo” or a Filipino embroidered neck scarf or shawl worn around the shoulders, in the video.
 

“I’m so honored to serve as US ambassador to the Philippines and doubly honored to connect with so many of you our friends, partners, and allies,” she said.
 

Her post garnered several replies of gratitude from her followers.
 

“Much of the credit should be given to you, Your Excellency. I think it has something to do with your warm, friendly and motherly vibe that radiates across the internet. Filipinos love that. Marami din pong salamat (Thank you very much, too),” @beachygirlplus wrote.
