A total of 18 people were affected by a fire in Barangay West Rembo, which is now part of Taguig.
According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the fire started from the second floor of a house in Sitio 2 in West Rembo at about 9:51 p.m. on Jan. 8.

The fire totally destroyed two houses and partially burned two others, causing damage amounting to P400,000.
No one was hurt in the fire, which affected four families or 18 individuals.
The fire was put under control at 10:28 p.m. and was put out at 10:38 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A total of 16 fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the incident.
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano visited the affected individuals, who are temporarily staying in the barangay hall.
They were given assistance by the Taguig Social Welfare and Development Office.
