The memorandum of understanding was signed by Secretary and ARTA Director General Ernesto V. Perez and MCCI President How Han Hui at the Embassy of Malaysia here on Sept. 7.

MCCI is the first ASEAN member country to create a business chamber in the Philippines that aims to advance the role of nation-building by fostering trade relations between Malaysia and the Philippines.

The MOU also seeks to streamline processes and share best practices and knowledge to create innovative solutions for the benefit of the broader business communities in the Philippines.

This partnership also empowers MCCI to be an avenue in receiving concerns from Malaysian business sector for ARTA’s action.

"I would like to thank the Chamber for their trust in ARTA. We pledge our full commitment to making this partnership a success, and we will work with compassion and dedication to ensure that this will bring substantial benefits to all stakeholders,” said Perez at the MOU signing.

MCCI Chairman Edward Ling expressed his gratitude saying, “I  want to thank Secretary Perez for always responding fast to us. Working alongside with ARTA has a very positive feedback in working with the government.”
