Meralco’s Joe Zaldarriaga to speak on fake news at PRSP Congress


Joe Zaldarriaga, the Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications at Manila Electric Co. (Meralco), has been announced as one of the guest speakers at the 30th National Public Relations Congress organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).

The event, known as GNOMON, will be held from Sept. 14 to 15 at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City. GNOMON is a gathering of public relations and communications professionals, reputation leaders, storytellers, and key opinion leaders in the Philippines.

With the theme "Shaping the Future of Public Relations: Nurturing Trust, Reinforcing Relevance," the congress aims to address the evolving challenges faced by the PR industry in an era of rapid technological advancements and the proliferation of fake news.

Zaldarriaga, a recognized authority in crisis communications and reputation management, will share his insights during the session titled "Boiling Point: Managing Crisis Communications, Fake News, and Reputation." 

With his extensive experience and expertise in the field, Zaldarriaga is expected to provide valuable strategies and practical solutions for handling crises, combating misinformation, and safeguarding an organization's reputation.
