Jollibee opens AI-assisted drive-thru in Singapore

Jollibee Foods Corporation reported that it has recently opened its first drive-thru location in Singapore at the Caltex Jurong Spring station.

In a statement, the fastfood giant said this milestone store marks Jollibee’s 20th store in Singapore, as well as the first artificial intelligence or AI-assisted drive-thru store in EMEAA (Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia excluding the Philippines) region, with dynamic menu boards that vary product offerings based on availability.

“This milestone coincides with our 10th anniversary in Singapore, during which time we have expanded from a single outlet in Lucky Plaza to 20 stores across the country, growing our consumer base from serving primarily Filipinos, to now serving the mainstream Singaporean market who compose a predominant majority of our customers today,” said Jollibee EMEAA President Dennis Flores.

He added that, “we are grateful for the Singaporean community’s continued support, and we look forward to expanding further in the country and the greater EMEAA region.”

The opening of Jollibee Singapore’s first drive-thru last Sept. 19 follows the recent store opening in neighboring Malaysia, where the brand opened its 10th location in the country at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

For the first half of 2023, the Jollibee brand opened 38 stores globally—23 of which were opened outside the Philippines.

Jollibee’s accelerated international expansion forms part of the Jollibee Group’s vision to become among the top five restaurant companies in the world.
