'Musikang Handog' to serenade Pasigueños

The Pasig City local government and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) have organized a night of symphonic and choral music for Pasigueños to enjoy on Friday, Sept. 22.

In partnership with the CCP, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and Philippine Madrigal Singers will hold a musical showcase titled "Musikang Handog" at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Pasig City.

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra will have Maestro Herminigildo Ranera as the conductor while the Philippine Madrigal Singers will be led by Mark Anthony Carpio as its choirmaster.

The concert will start from 7 p.m. onwards and is free and open to the public.

It was organized as a continuation of the city’s year-long celebration of its 450th founding anniversary and also for the anniversary of the Pasig Cathedral.

The local government is inviting Pasig residents and visitors from neighboring cities to join in the festivities and witness the special performances.

Those who will be unable to attend the event can still watch and enjoy the concert through the online live stream that will be hosted by the CCP Facebook Page.

Aside from the CCP, the event was also made possible through the Office of Pasig Representative Roman Romulo.
