The Parañaque City government conducted the seventh annual senior citizens' congress with the theme “Adapting Livelihood Programs for a Progressive Senior Community.”

The program, held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex, aimed to discuss the city government’s programs and projects for senior citizens to improve their quality of life.
Mayor Eric Olivarez congratulated all the senior citizen officers from the city’s barangays for creating projects that seek to address the needs of the elderly in the city.
He told senior citizens that the city government will be passing a resolution to better uplift their living conditions.
The mayor also announced that the city government increased the amount of the annual birthday and Christmas cash gifts for seniors aged 60 to 74 years to P1,000.
P2,500 will now be given to residents who are 75 to 84 years old, and P3,000 for those 85 years and above.
Representative Edwin Olivarez who also attended the activity gave his full support to all senior citizens in the city.
