Election ban violators, felons arrested in Bulacan


Police arrested several violators of the Omnibus Election Code (OEC) and other wanted felons for various crimes and offenses  in Bulacan on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 17 and 18. 

Based on the police reports, during a road-clearing operation in Pulilan, Bulacan on Monday morning, Sept. 18, a driver named Joel Yarcia got angry after receiving a traffic citation for parking his Isuzu trailer truck illegally.

Yarcia grabbed a bladed weapon (bolo) and began damaging his own truck. Concerned witnesses called the Pulilan police for help, leading to Yarcia's arrest and the weapon's confiscation.

He was charged for illegal possession of a deadly weapon and violating the Omnibus Election Code.

Meanwhile, in a recent robbery case in Sitio Himpot, Brgy. Dulong Bayan, City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) Bulacan, a man broke into a house by damaging the front door. 

The robber, identified as Jeffrey Dayrit, took valuable items, including two laptops worth P90,000; one tablet valued at P3,000, and one cellular phone worth P12,000. 

The suspect, identified as Jeffrey Dayri, was arrested, and the stolen items were recovered.

Moreover, two wanted persons were also arrested in Bulacan. 

The suspect, Ronnel Novilla, wanted for robbery, was arrested at Panginay, Guiguinto by the tracker team led by the 1st Bulacan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) with the 301st Mobile Company (MC), Regional Mobile Force Batallion (RMFB) 3, Balagtas, and Guiguinto police. While F. Dela Cruz, who is wanted for qualified theft, was arrested by the Hagonoy police who served him a warrant of arrest issued by the court.

Three illegal gamblers were caught in the act of engaging in and betting on illegal cockfighting in Bagumbayan, Bocaue. Confiscated were fighting cocks, gaffs, and bet money in different denominations.
