President Marcos said Filipinos can expect the collaboration between the Philippines and Singapore to improve after his "promising" discussions with top Singaporean leaders over the weekend.

Marcos said this after he concluded his five-day Official Visit to Singapore on Sept. 17.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Sept. 18, the President said he met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Sunday.

He said their meeting was "promising" and would boost the relationship between the two countries.

"The discussions with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy PM Lawrence Wong have been promising," Marcos said.

"Our countries can expect enhanced collaboration on multiple fronts to address common global challenges," he added.

The President said they watched Ferrari clinch the podium at the F1 Grand Prix following their discussions.

Malacañang said last week that President Marcos' attendance at the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore was upon Prime Minister Lee's invitation.

Before the event on Sunday, Marcos discussed priority policies and programs before economic managers and business leaders during the 10th Asian Conference.

He also secured an P11-billion investment pledge from Singapore-based multinational technology company Dyson, while he welcomed Malaysian retail specialist Valiram Group's intention to expand operations in the Philippines.
