President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s economic managers will hold briefings in three key cities in the coming days to provide updates on the administration's economic agenda and address region-specific concerns within the local business and finance communities.

Based on the schedule released by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the Philippine Economic Briefings (PEB) will take place in Davao City on Aug. 9 (Wednesday), Cebu City on Aug. 11 (Friday), and Laoag City on Aug. 14 (Monday).

For PEB Davao, Finance Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno will deliver the keynote message and participate in the first panel discussion on the country's high-growth trajectory and socio-economic transformation.

Budget Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Francisco G. Dakila Jr., National Economic and Development Undersecretary Joseph J. Capuno, and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. Area Vice President for Mindanao Arturo M. Milan will also be present.

Afterward, there will be a panel discussion focusing on the Marcos administration's Build-Better-More Program.

The panelists for this session are Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John E. Uy, and Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Maria Catalina E. Cabral.

Other panelists are Energy Undersecretary Sharon S. Garin, Public-Private Partnership Center Executive Director Ma. Cynthia C. Hernandez, and Japan International Cooperation Agency Philippines Chief Representative Sakamoto Takema.

The final panel of the PEB will delve into key strategies for economic transformation, specifically focusing on revitalizing industries and reinvigorating services.

Panelists participating in this session include Trade Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual, Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Marlo L. Iringan, and Tourism Undersecretary Mae Elaine T. Bathan.

Agriculture Undersecretary Mercedita A. Sombilla, and Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. President John Carlo B. Tria will also be among the panelists.

Budget Undersecretary Margaux V. Salcedo and Finance Undersecretary Maria Luwalhati C. Dorotan-Tiuseco will moderate the panel discussions.
