Man arrested for trespassing in Malate, Manila


Operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested a 34-year-old man after allegedly trespassing into a house in Malate, Manila on Monday, August 7.

The suspect was identified as Roque Peleño, a resident of San Andres Bukid, Manila, and a member of the Bahala Na gang.

According to barangay 725 officials, they saw a man entering the victim's house on Leon Guinto Street at 4 p.m.

They immediately informed the owners of the house and reported the incident to the MPD Malate Police Station.

During the inspection, the suspect was caught hiding inside the second-floor ceiling.

Authorities were requesting the suspect to get down but he refused. This prompted the responding officers to forcibly apprehend the suspect.

Police said the suspect was arrested after he fell from the ceiling which caused him multiple injuries.

The suspect has not yet disclosed his motive for invading the house, investigators said.

The suspect will face charges for trespassing.
